Congregational Church of Topsfield celebrates 350 years of Words and Music on Sunday, May 19, 5 PM at the Meetinghouse, Main and Washington Streets. Combined choirs, bell choir, organ and trumpet solos, narrations and audience participation will make this a joyous event. Free admission. All are welcome.

The Topsfield Recreation Committee is now accepting registrations for Celebrate Summer Camp 2013, a fun-filled experience for children entering grades 1-7 in the Fall of 2013. Activities include Arts & Crafts, Sports, Science & Nature exploration, Drama and Music. Five weekly sessions run from July 8 through August 9, 2013, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Proctor School.

Topsfield residents are advised that in addition to their weekly refuse pick-up, there will be a special Household Metals and White Goods pick-up on Wednesday, May 15, Thursday, May 16, and Friday, May 17, 2013. This is a free collection, items must be curbside by 7AM the same day your trash is picked up. No trash stickers are required. Metal items include anything that contains at least 80% or more of metal. Items that are mostly wood or plastic with some metal will not be taken. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners containing Freon need to be registered with the Board of Selectmen prior to the pick up date. Pleaase call(978) 887-1500 and leave your name, address and type of item you have.
